Encourage Concern Services When your kid is referred. Wanslea is a caring, community based organization providing respite, emergency, short, temperate and long term encourage concern services for children under 18 years. Our foster concern program offers volunteer cares the following: Excellent supervision and urge from Social Workers and Family Support Workers. Placement encourage when needed in the home delivered by our proficient Family Urge Workers. Wanslea Encourage Carers are supported by professional staff, learning and development and access to equipment and other resources. Wanslea Foster Protection has produced a series of concise films entitled I was a encourage child’. Foster Friends are volunteers who assist encourage carers in their local area in a variety of ways. Families and children have been at the heart of Wanslea since the organization was established in 1943. She has worked in the community not for gain sector in MSW and Western Australia for over thirty years, primarily in management positions, with a focus on kid protection, homelessness, family violence and children’s services. She has over 25 years’ experience occupied with families experiencing vulnerability and their children. She is passionate about building the capacity of professionals busy with families and has recently been involved in the co production and implementation of an evidence based practice framework for working with families experiencing vulnerability and their children. Stephan’s notable interests include innovation in fostering, evidence based practice, specialized fostering and research and evaluation. She was integral in developing the organizations beginning kid concern services and in implementing the ELF and NBS in the schooling sector. This experience gave him a difficult grounding in direct casework, particularly with Indigenous people, which is a passion that he further developed over the subsequent years 19902007 in a management position in that line of labor in the Great Southern region of WA. During the entirety of his stay in the Huge Southern region, he has perpetual demonstrated a mighty commitment to collaboration between service providers in the human services arena.

She dedicated her life to serving the community and was passionate about welfare of children. It was during this time that the need for an organization that could care for the children of mothers who were ailing and whose fathers were at war became apparent. Wanslea was established two years later. The need for a compassionate, caring organization focused on the welfare of children did not terminate at the final of the war and Wanslea continued to grow. From the very beginning child who was cared for, Wanslea has touched the lives of thousands of West Australians in times of need. The goodwill and respect that has been earned by Wanslea continues to be reinvested in the protection of families and children through the many programs now offered over its locations.

When your kid comes into protection with Wanslea encourage carers: These let the encourage carer know your child’s needs and routines. Every night, Wanslea foster carers yield a stable, safer and nurturing home to children and young people who cannot live with their own families. We are reaching out to individuals and community organizations like yours to aid us construct a supportive network for foster carers and children in their care. We also need your aid to find more foster carers to confront the growing demand, Western Australia's foster protection system is in crisis and we urgently need more foster carers to care for children who otherwise remain at risk. Wanslea Foster Concern recruits and supports foster carers who provide therapeutic, safe and successful homes for children who are unable to live with their parents. The Encourage Friends program ensures that foster families have the help they need, when they need it, within their community. Our vision is that each Encourage Friend network will provide a range of supports and services to encourage families and the children they care for. This complaints' policy and procedure is specific to children and young people receiving services from Wanslea Encourage Care. Wanslea management and staff respect the rights of children and young people to evaluate and complain about the standard of services provided by Wanslea staff, and are committed to a impartial and equitable resolution of all complaints. Children and young people are defined as any child or young person from the ages of birth to 18 years impaired receiving services from any Wanslea Encourage Care program. A formal complaint is a complaint in which triumphant resolution cannot be reached informally, and further action is required through a written complaint, or a review and resolution process. At the commencement of work with children and young people, the identified worker will inform the kid or young people of their rights. The worker will inform the child or young people of their right to complain and the formal and informal options available to them. If a kid is not of an age to engage in this process, the worker will inform the child’s foster carer of the process and act on the child’s behalf to report a complaint. This procedure will be followed behind attempts by the child or young person’s Social Worker to address the young person complaint have been unsuccessful. The child or young person’s Social Worker will notify senior staff of a complaint. c) If the child or young person feels unable to elevate the issue directly with the person or organization, or a successful resolution cannot be reached, the process will move to a formal complaint. Clever documentation will continue with the child or young person unless otherwise directed by the kid or young people. At the completion of the complaints process, all original documentation will be given to the child or young people. Wanslea’s Family Services are designed to urge families and children.
